[AD-Gifted]: JayJun Cosmetic Honey Dew Green Mask Review ๐Ÿฏ

A month of masking – Day 11

I’m back again with another mask by the brand ‘JayJun Cosmetic’: this time we’ll be taking a look at their ‘Honey Dew Green Mask’. The key ingredients of this sheet mask are 5 natural/”green” ingredients (i.e kiwi, green tea, spinach, avocado & Japanese apricot) in conjunction with manuka honey & propolis.

๐Ÿฅ Kiwi gives antioxidants & vitamins C, E.
๐Ÿต Green tea provides more antioxidants & tackles UV damage.
๐Ÿ’š Spinach rejuvenates skin.
๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต Japanese apricot heals dry skin cells while providing Vitamin C.
๐Ÿฅ‘ Avocado’s fatty acids reduce inflammation, softens skin & smoothes out fine lines/wrinkles.

Aside from it’s well known intense hydrating properties, honey & propolis function as antiseptics, accelerate the production of new skin cells, heal problematic skin and protect the surface of our skin from external bacteria. Overall, its quite evident that this is an all-round well designed skincare product with nature and science in consideration.

From one time use, I can say it’s perfect for very dry skin, dull skin types. The recommended wear time is 10~20 minutes as per usual, but even after this allotted time the sheet mask didn’t completely dry. A greasy residue will persist for a lengthy amount of time, so I don’t advise that you wear makeup after using it due to poor adherence. I will say that it’s nowhere near as sticky as other honey, propolis masks; on the contrary the essence is super watery. Nonetheless my skin did feel like it had been pampered well, and could easily be used by oiler skin types too; as long as its only used once or twice per week.

Just to be on the safe side, I wouldn’t recommend this for sensitive skin based on the face that Alcohol is high-up in the contents list: the scent proves this. I’m hoping that the blueish-green tinge of the essence and fabric is a factor of the natural ingredients rather than some dye that has been labelled with its not so distinguishable Latin/scientific name.

As for sizing, it wasn’t too much of an issue. For me it was oversized but I believe it would be fitting for the majority of people. The inflammation of a mosquito bite I have on my face became less prominent in size and redness after using this mask; of course not instantaneously, I mean buy morning time.

Skin condition update: There hasn’t been a drastic change since my last update. For now I’m more concerned about how the environment/hayfever is currently having an impact on my skin’s appearance, sebum production and texture. I’ve been straying away from using mattifying powders, so not as to soak-up & waste all the extra hydration I’ve been taking in from these sheet masks over the past few weeks.

    1. Nope, never. I think I should have tried them in the UK, because they are even more overpriced here in Korea.
