I initially became intrigued by ‘Keep Cool’ skincare, particularly their ‘Soothe’ range, as it’s target beneficiaries are those with Sensitive Dehydrated Oily Skin: my skin type exactly.
Firstly, I’d like to discuss the ‘Keep Cool Soothe Bamboo Serum/깁쿨 수드 대나무 세럼’ (50ml):
🌿 The serum utilizes bamboo water in replacement of typical mineral water found in other lightweight serums.
🌿 Phyto Green complex balances & calms skin troubled by irritation/due to a lack of hydration.
🌿 EWG, KFGA, CGMP & ISO certified (i.e. Keep Cool products in all have officially been tested and approved as they don’t contain any harmful ingredients; thus making their products Hypoallergenic & toxin free).
🌿 Contains 66% bamboo water to provide skin with minerals & amino acids.
🌿 “Highly concentrated formula of 4.5 Centella Asiatica Extract, Madecassocide & Asiaticoside regenerate & calm tired skin”.
🌿 Low-molecular Sodium Hyaluronate acid, Polyglutamic acid, Panthenol & Allantoin focus on firming skin and giving a glowy appearance.
Aside from the obvious, that being that this serum is all-round perfect for my skin type with its naturally-derived recipe, I mostly appreciate its fast absorption rate. After gently patting 1-2 squirts of this over my entire face, it soaked in rapidly similarly to the soothing gels we often see in the kbeauty industry.
Despite the speedy absorption, my skin wasn’t left feeling depleted shortly after: on the contrary my skin felt smooth, soothed, and firm all day long without disturbance to my base makeup. This consistency is the perfect medium between being running and something along the lines of aloe gel: similarly to the liquid state of a hand sanitiser.
The super lightweight formula is very ideal for Summertime & humid weather, so I’m confident that I’ll be getting alot of use out of this serum this season and hopefully it will give me the desired skin condition to be able to go bare-faced during the peak in temperature here in Korea. It’s seems to be scent free, at least the scent is so mild that its undetectable.
