Not to long ago I reviewed the matching serum to this Keep Cool Soothe Bamboo Toner/킵쿨 수드 대나무 토너 (350ml). Usually I’m not the sort of person to use multiple products in a range, just because they correspond with each other I just don’t feel like it’s necessary to use a whole collection; especially if you don’t like all the of the items included. However the previously reviewed serum and the toner I will discuss shortly, cooperate ideally due to their low~neutral pH levels (what I’m trying to highlight is that it would be a little unwise to layer products with such different pH levels, particularly when paired products exist).
🌿 Contains 85% bamboo water.
🌿 Refreshes skin in addition to moisturising and soothing irritation.
🌿 Sodium Hyaluronate component has a pH5.5 level.
🌿 Lightly acidic.
🌿 Honeysuckle & various leaf extracts are used in the formula.
🌿 EWG green graded.
Some toners which can be used to minimise or eradicate sensitivity and oiliness can make your skin feel tight or deprived of the natural oils our skin produces; however this isn’t the case with this toner. On the contrary I felt like my skin was treated well, less red in appearance after using a foam cleanser and most pleasantly of all, non-tacky.
If you are someone who doesn’t like the feel residue or their face, but doesn’t want to feel like the product has soaked in so speedily that it hasn’t ‘really done anything’, then this seems like a suitable fuss free option. Once again I recommend this line of products for humid weather, or overall highly suitable for those with sensitive dehydrated oily skin.
Personally I didn’t find it fiddly to use the toner with my hands directly, even if the product instructions suggest the typical use of cotton pads. Some fellow skincare and beauty bloggers told me they prefer to transfer the toner into a spray bottle so they can effectively use it as a mist: spritzing it onto their faces, at arms length, before gently patting it into skin with clean hands.
If this product was more easily and widely obtainable from drugstores then I would certainly repurchase it time and time again. For the time being I believe its only available online; which isn’t bothersome if you don’t mind Internet shopping/importing from abroad.
