✨Skincare Blogger Collaboration – Our recommendations✨

I wouldn’t have been as consistent with providing skincare reviews, as I have been for this length of time, if it wasn’t for the support of other skincare enthusiasts. Hence why today’s blog post encompasses the contributions of several bloggers/reviewers, to combine our skincare recommendations, advice & interests – catering to all skin types as well as answering queries revolving around skincare & what’s available on the skincare market to date.

I asked skincare lovers the following 3 questions to cover the basis of this post:

1. Can you recommend 1 skincare product? – Describe why you have chosen this product in particular.

2. What is your skin type?

3. Which brand or product are you most looking forward to trying this year & why?

Sarah – 📷 @infullflavour
Skin type: Combination

Sarah’s recommendation: “I love the pomegranate moisturiser from Korres, it’s made from natural ingredients which is great. It rubs in really well and is nice and light, not greasy at all. It’s also cruelty free”.

Skincare ‘wants’: “I’m making more of a conscious effort to buy vegan products, so Urban Veda is definitely on my list. They have a great range and have won lots of awards so it will be fab to try out some of their products this year”.

My recommendation’s for Sarah:

Benton Cacao Moist & Mild Serum

Pyunkang Yul – Essence Toner (YesStyle)

DEAR KLAIRS RICH MOIST SOOTHING TENCEL SHEET MASK

HUXLEY GOOD NIGHT SLEEP MASK

Ludovica – 📷 @vicaismaname
Skin type: Combination/Oily

Ludovica’s recommendation: “I recommend the Tony Moly Chok Chok Watery Cream. I love it because it’s lightweight like a gel but has the same texture as a cream and it has a super nice green tea aroma; last but not least, it keeps my skin moisturised the whole day!”

Skincare ‘wants’: “I’m looking forward to try the unscented version of Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner, because I want to know what the hype is all about! I already tried a few sheet masks from this brand and loved them so I have great expectations for this product!”.

My recommendations for Ludovica:

I’m From Mugwort Mask

PURITO – Centella Green Level Buffet Serum (YesStyle)

Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence (YesStyle)

iUNIK Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil
(YesStyle)

Shanie Rose – 📷 @xshanierose

Skin type: Sensitive, prone to breakouts

Shanie Rose’s recommendation: “The Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic changed my skin for the better! I have sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts. The Pixi Glow Tonic is gentle enough to use every day to exfoliate the face, prep it for makeup and keep your skin looking clear and radiant”.

Skincare ‘wants’: “I am most looking forward to trying the new Pixi Beauty Collagen Tonic – as it’s pact with fruit extracts and botanicals that provide anti oxidant benefits and promotes youthful looking skin!!”

My skincare recommendations for Shanie Rose:

Cosrx Centella Water Alcohol-free Toner
(YesStyle)

Jumiso All Day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Serum (YesStyle)

make p:rem Low irritant and mild acid foam (YesStyle)

Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patches (YesStyle)

Anya – 📷 @soulmate_make_up

Skin type: Dry/dehydrated inner skin

Anya’s recommendation: “I want to recommend The Inkey list Polyglutamic Acid. It’s a great serum/lightweight gel for every skin type. It absorbs really fast, makes my dry/dehydrated/oil deprived skin more soft, hydrated and beautiful. Usually I use it after all my serums – before moisturiser. It also can be applied before makeup. The only drawback is that it has strange smell”.

Skincare ‘wants’: “I’d like to try Q10 serum from Inkey list, I’ll order it in March!”.

My recommendations for Anya:
Mizon Peptide Ampoule Cream

Wellage Real Hyaluronic Capsule Serum

Aromatica Lively Vita Glow Sleeping Mask

Utena Puresa Golden Jelly Sheet Mask

             Hailey – 📷 @hailey_2slay

💻 Hailey’s Blog
Skin type: Dry & hyper sensitive

Hailey’s recommendations: “Firstly I suggest the Dr Belmeur advanced cica recovery cream (brand from the face shop): I love this product because it’s so good for everyday use; meaning I can apply when I feel dryness, when I have acne, day and night. Usually cica products are kinda don’t give enough hydration, but this includes Beta-Glucan so it’s perfect for dry, sensitive skin like mine. My second recommendation is the 2sol cosmetic pink zinc cream (couldn’t decide just one fav lol). I call an ’emergency cream’. It’s really thick and hard to absorb into skin so it’s not good for applying before makeup. BUT whenever I have redness and acne issue, this is my saviour. It includes calamine, cica & Zinc Oxide”.

Skincare ‘wants’: “I am really looking forward to trying a few brands. Among Korean skincare, I’d love to try more products by ‘maide me’ as they cultivate their own ingredients for their own farms – it’s so interesting. Abroad (Western) products I want to try are the Tacha wash-off pack & Fourth Ray serums… I’ve seen them on influencer’s feeds so often. Wanna try to see if they’re good or not”.

My recommendations for Hailey:
SIORIS A CALMING DAY AMPOULE (YesStyle)

iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum
(YesStyle)

Hanyul Red Rice Essential Moisturising Cream (YesStyle)

Kao-Curel Intensive Moisture Care Makeup Cleansing Oil (YesStyle)

Daria – 📷 @hellogorgeouscrew

Skin type: Combination/sensitive

Daria’s recommendation: “So my favourite product at the moment is the Missha Double Fermented Essence. I love it because I see it instantly soothing my skin which is prone to redness and irritation. I’ve seen tremendous results since adding it to my routine and it quickly became a favourite”.

Skincare ‘wants’: “I’m most looking forward to trying – probably more of the I’m from and Klairs range”.

My recommendations for Daria:
By Wishtrend Vitamin75 Maximizing Cream

I’m From Rice Mask

Neulii Peony Acnella Antioxidant Serum (YesStyle)

Isntree Green Tea Fresh Emulsion (YesStyle)

Karen – 📷 @thegirlsteamuk

Skin type: Moving onto mature skin, quite oily.

Karen’s recommendation: “My favourite brand atm is Farmacy. Their products contain honey and my skin seems to react well to this ingredient. Every Farmacy product I’ve tried, I’ve noticed a fast improvement in my skin”.

Skincare ‘wants’: “I’m looking forward to trying more Indie brands. There are so many amazing products out there that we just don’t get to hear about because they don’t have the same budgets as the big brands”.

My recommendations for Karen:
Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream (YesStyle)

Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream (YesStyle)

The Skin House White Tightening Serum (YesStyle)

Laneige Time Freeze Firming Sleeping Mask (YesStyle)
