[#Gifted] Hanyul Skincare Review ft. Kosame Beauty πŸ’›

HANYUL deliver the benefits of Korean nature through skincare with the main priority of comforting skin as simply as possible – balancing skin with mild & non-complex formulas. For today’s review I have two of their products from two different ranges: the Hanyul Yuja Face Oil & Hanyul Pure Artemisia Watery Calming Cream supplied by Kosame Beauty.

Hanyul Yuja Oil

This facial oil supplies dry/depleted skin with a radiance. The concentration of Yuja (Yuzu – 3,000ppm) citrus fruit serges skin with vital doses of antioxidants necessary for relieving fatigued skin with a film of moisture. For those who don’t know, Yuja/Yuzu is a hybrid of mandarin orange & a Chinese variation of lemon; it’s availablity is common in Korea.

Full ingredients list: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride , Dicaprylyl Carbonate , Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Squalane, Dicaprylyl Ether, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil , Citrus Junos Peel Oil (3,000ppm), Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Tocopherol, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Beta-Carotene.

I found this oil to be particularly useful when my skin condition isn’t in peak condition due to high-speed winds, after being in microdust effected or polluted environments & when cleansers may have stripped away too many natural oils from my skin. I think the sunflower seed oil, squalane & castor seed oil greatly contribute to the oil’s texture & ability to provide skin with a barrier of moisture over a prolonged amount of time – absorbing steadily throughout wear.

Hanyul Pure Artemisia Watery Calming Cream

This cream specifically contains Artemisia grown in Ganghwado: an Island of South Korea. Artemisia/Mugwort was originally used in ancient herbal Oriental medicine practices for it’s pain relief abilities; hence why it is used in ‘calming’ in this light cream mainly for sensitive skin types.

My skin has responded well to using this cream, just alike other Mugwort skincare I’ve used, as it appears to minimise the number of breakouts I have – keeping skin relatively clear. I prefer to use this as the last step in my morning routine, whereas the Yuja oil is best suited as the last step in my night routine. It has a distinctive Artemisia scent of course, or as some may say a ‘evergreen garden’ aroma, which I like personally. You can easily use this all year round as it’s non-greasy but stays around long enough to actually feel like it’s slowly releasing hydration back into skin, without the impression that it’s vanished into thin air not long after application.

Stay safe & remember to self-care 🧑
