[#Gifted] Dr. Ceuracle Skincare Review ft. Kōsame 💙

(Please turn your device to landscape to read this article, thank you).

For the time being my main point of concern regarding skincare is repairing and strengthening my skin barrier. My protective barrier isn’t as sensitive as is was say 6+ years ago when I wasn’t then using K-beauty skincare, but it’s still a concern. Nowadays, I’m once more conscious of avoiding hyper sensitivity from recurring again as a result of a weakened skin barrier. Until a 3 or so weeks ago, I only had one skincare product containing enough Ceramides & probiotics to help improve the health of my skin barrier. Now I’ve been introduced to a few more products which cater to this particular concern – all of the products are from Dr. Ceuracle, available at Kōsame.

If you didn’t see my previous post about Kōsame, they’re The House of Korean Beauty™. They ship within Europe, with free UK shipping on orders valuing £35 +. They have a wide variety of products, so make sure to check them out after reading this post (links to their website are have been imbedded in this intro and again at the end of this post).

Dr. Ceuracle – Pro Balance Pure Cleansing Oil

It claims to effectively remove makeup, purify and replenish skin. Its formulated with 44% sunflower seed oil which breaks-down traces of makeup and leaves skin feeling softened rather than stripped of moisture. Other oils within this cleansing oil – including olive, macadamia, meadow foam, Jojoba, bergamot, grapefruit & orange peel oils – aid in the care of blackhead/whitehead removal.

What makes this cleanser stand out from others which use a similar composition of natural plant derived oils, is the addition of 3 forms of lactobacillus, 2 types of bifida ferment, a saccharomyces ferment (a yeast) for a impactful supply of probiotic cultures. “Pro Balance” more specifically refers to the 5 probiotics complex that uses PhytoG. Fer-kefir. These are healthy bacteria which are typically used in digestion aiding yoghurts not only strengthen and protect our skin for free radicals, environmental factors, etc – studies suggest they have the ability to reduce the amount of abnormal skin lesions.

I found that just one pump is enough for the removal of basic makeup (foundation, concealer, lipstick). It feels as if it coats skin with a film of moisture; making all skin types more comfortable after cleansing.

Dr. Ceuracle – Pro Balance Biotics Moisturiser

The most admirable function of this light textured cream is that is can strengthen skin’s protective barrier; which is something I can’t stress enough the importance of incorporating into your skincare routines if you have sensitive or mature skin, weakened skin by harsh products/over exfolating or have sun damaged skin, you’re late to the daily SPF scene and/or use AHAs or exfoliates regularly. Of course if you fall under these categories you will most likely need a gentle formula like this moisturiser, as its mild with a low pH – balancing skin whilst also hydrating it.

Similarly to the Cleansing Oil I discussed from this brand, this cream contains various forms of probiotics which a vital for repairing skin & coaxing the production of healthy skin cells. Lactobacillus & bifida fermentations plus Ceramide & Milk Lipids (Kefir) greatly contribute to this cream’s ability to strengthen skin barrier. Several plant/fruit derived oils boost the hydration levels of the cream; including mandarin & fig extracts. Centella asiatica of course brings in some skin calming effects.

This ingredient complex is more commercially know as “PhytoG. Fer-Kefir” & “Lysate & Filtrate Complex”. I mainly wanted to start to use this product to protect my skin from environmental factors, as when I’m in London & S.Korea my skin is impacted by city pollution/fine dust- which sometimes results in dehydrated, stressed skin.

Since using this moisturiser my skin feels plumper from deeper hydration & it feels as though it acts as a shield from external factors. My skin is now less sensitive & red in colour, plus most of my skin’s ‘itchiness’ has reduced in intensity. I can’t see myself removing this product from my routine & will certainly continue to use it now onwards.

Dr. Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth Lifting Mask

Ok…so, we have a new contender in my top 10 favourite sheet masks of all time (yes, its that great). As the product name suggests this is in fact a lifting mask; or ‘firming and hydrating’ mask if you prefer. This mask combines much loved Hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5 which function as restorers of hydration which in turn replenish and plump skin. Other notable ingredients are Centella Asiatica extract, Peony root extract, Chamomilla flower extract, Panthenol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, adenosine, linalool and hydrolyzed collagen.

This product among the 3 I’ve discussed doesn’t exactly strengthen the Dermis, as it doesn’t contain probiotics. And other skin strengthening ingredients like Panthenol are placed somewhat low in the contents list, so I wouldn’t regard this sheet mask as a skin barrier strengthening product (not that it claims to be anyway). However it’s clear to anyone, skincare enthusiast or not, that supplying skin with an abundance of hydration or moisture is essential for improving skin’s overall health and ability to produce healthy skin cells in it’s turn over cycle.

I would class this sheet mask as an ‘universal sheet mask’, meaning its suitable for all skin types and can be used all year round regardless of the weather condition/climate. It’s a bold statement to make, but considering the ingredients we have at hand in this mask, in addition to both the texture and overall feeling of the essence, I can see how it will benefit almost everyone. It will supply enough hydration to minor dry skin as long as you apply skincare steps then after, it will deeply hydrate and balance the water~oil ratio of combination and oily skin types and those with normal skin may like to use it as a skin pick-me-up once per week to maintain a healthy glow.

On my oily sensitive skin, this mask gave back that ‘bounce’ which sometimes disappears throughout the day after sebum starts to soak out of pores. It didn’t cause any itching or any other sign of irritation. The fit is near perfect and the fabric is super comfortable. I like the unique packaging. I opens by separating the front and back upper right-hand corners of it’s pouch: this makes for a more effortless removal of the masm from the packing and enables you to reach any excess essence from the bottom of the packaging more easily than compared to the standard packaging design of most masks.

I will without a doubt be reaching for this mask come rain or shine. It leaves just the right amount of residue to leave skin feeling comfortable whether used morning or evening. If you live in a humid climate, you’ll appreciate this mask too. Use twice per week for best results.
