Mask Mondays: Banobagi Silk Pearl “Injection” Mask Review

Another Banobagi sheet mask, you say? Yes! You can never have too many in your stash. This Banobagi Silk Pearl Injection Sheet Mask is the first I’ll be reviewing from their premium “Injection” range.

Key details:
❄️ Silver foil embellishment is not just for aesthetics, this detail prevents the sheet from sagging.
❄️ The sheet is soft resembling cotton for adhering to skin well.
❄️ Made with pearl extract (10,000ppm), hydrolyzed silk (100ppm), sodium hyaluronate, niacinamide, glutathione, etc.
❄️ Volume – 30g.
❄️ Functions – “whitening” & calming (미백 / 진정)

Full contents:

Water, Methylpropanediol, Niacinamide, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Pearl Extract(10,000ppm), Hydrolyzed Silk(100ppm), Sodium Hyaluronate, Glutathione, Glycine, Glutamic Acid, Serine, Aspartic Acid, Leucine, Alanine, Lysine, Arginine, Tyrosine, Phenyl- alanine, Threonine, Proline, Valine, Isoleucine, Histidine, Methionine, Cysteine, Panthenol, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Allantoin, Xanthan Gum, Dimethicone, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Polyacrylate-13, Polyisobutene, Sorbitan Isostearate, Polysorbate 20, 1,2-Hexan- ediol, Hydroxyacetophenone

My experience: This mask is undoubtedly very soft and semi-thick compared to the Banobagi Vita Genic Jelly Mask range. In some ways I prefer this cotton fabric as the absorption of the essence is more gradual. The essence/ampoule is slightly “milky” but not oily at all. It does indeed provide a delicate calming effect to tired and sensitive skin at the end of a long day.

Because there are incisions to multiple areas around the outer edge of the mask, you can tailor the fit easily. It’s alcohol free and doesn’t seem to have an artificial fragrance, just a light scent typical of silky sheet masks. I think this sheet mask would be great for all year round as the essence isn’t too think nor too light.

This sheet mask isn’t occasion specific, but the snowflake foil pattern could make it a nice Christmas gift or birthday gift for someone who’s birthday is in Winter. You can find this mask and several other Banobagi sheet masks at Glam Touch – the official UK retailer for Banobagi Cosmetics.
