[#Gifted] The Luxury Cleansing Water Free From Surfactants – Oolo

It’s about time that we take look at a luxury innovative product which doesn’t follow the product creations which are trending among the majority of Korean skincare brands.โฃ

โ€ข Jojoba seed oil – an non comedogenic, antioxidant botanical oil rich in Vitamin E. It helps protect the skin barrier to fight against pollutants and toxins in our ever-changing environment. โฃ
โ€ข Water – which is safe from toxins, pollutants and microbes.โฃ
โ€ข 1,2-Hexanedoil – a hydrating organic compound: an emollient and humectant.โฃ

Typically surfactants have to be used in cosmetics to effectively combine oil and water components without the differences in molecular sizes separating the water and oils. However oolo have invested in a undisclosed technology which has enabled them to breakdown oil particles to 1/5000 of a single strand of hair; meaning the particles are small enough to be mixed with the water element of the cleansing water. โฃ

Well, basically, they are active agents which we find in soaps and detergents. With prolonged use in skincare they can dehydrate skin and disrupt the healthy natural functions of skin, thus resulting in sensitisation.โฃ

๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ: โฃ
โ€ขThis is a generously sized bottle of cleansing water (400ml) with a flat pump type dispenser, as this product is designed for use with cotton pads or materials similar to that. โฃ
โ€ข It removes traces of pigmented makeup well whilst replenishing moisture at the same time. It’s better than some micellar and cleansing waters I’ve used on the past, because it contains enough jojoba oil (which may I add isn’t greasy). โฃ
โ€ข It didn’t cause me to breakout or irritate my sensitive skin.โฃ

โฃ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ฌ:โฃ
โ€ข It’s expensive. It costs โ‚ฉ123,000 (approx. $105).โฃ
โ€ข The pump is too powerful, sometimes it shoots the water through the cotton pad causing it to splash everywhere. โฃ
โ€ข Have to wipe your skin at least 6~10 times to remove heavy makeup

๐Ÿ’ฌ Does this cleansing water seem like it’s worth the price tag?

  1. The bottle looks so entrancing but the pump sounds so horrible. I had no clue what surfectants were so this is so interesting. Now I know to look out for these!

Oh I hate a dodgy pump, it’s horrible when it squirts the product everywhere! This does sound like a good cleanser though, even if the price tag is a little high! x
