A couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to have been invited to private pre-opening event of the Glam Touch Pop-up shop in Soho, London! If it’s your first time hearing about Glam Touch, they are a thriving online shop with expertise in Korean skincare, makeup and haircare products. They stock several leading Korean brands such as Dear Klairs, Banobagi, Laneige, Klavuu, Some By Mi, Nacific, and my personal favourite d’Alba.
I have been supporting Glam Touch over the last couple of years, and since this year I have been fortunate enough to closely work with Glam Touch as a contributing writer for the blog section of their website. Therefore the opening of their fantastic pop-up, and the opportunity to attend their private event was a much needed and wonderful chance to meet the Glam Touch team in person after talking online for years. I also got to meet some other lovely K-beauty bloggers and enthusiasts too!
It had been a long-time dream for Glam Touch to be able to bring a piece of Korea to the heart of the West-End of London. And so they were finally able to recently open their pop-up shop close-by to Chinatown – a much loved area of London by the British-Asian community, and those who appreciate East Asian cultures. In a sense the opening of the pop-up at this particular time of the year is a celebration of the easing of lockdown restrictions in England, and of course a opportunity for Glam Touch to meet their supportive customers who made purchases and interacted with their Instagram page during their first 3 years since establishment.
Without being biased, I have to say I was really impressed by the set-up and service at the pop-up shop. Everything from the entrance, to the shelves, and even the walls have been beautifully decorated with personalisation and attention to the finer details. It you love pink and taking photos then this is a more than an idyllic location for taking a few snaps on your visit!
It was great to see many of my favourite products at the Glam Touch Pop-up. I’m confident that many of you will be interested to know that they sell the new and improved Laneige Water Sleeping Mask EX. This product provides all the same best qualities and functions as the original and popular formula, although now it contains an enhanced pro-biotic complex to further strengthen the skin defense, and boost hydration with Squalane to conserve natural skin flora which make up skin’s microbiome.
If sun protection is what you’re looking for, Glam Touch stock 3 well-known sunscreens which do indeed provide full SPF 50 (each were retested and surpassed testing during the sunscreen controversy of last year). Just one example of sunscreen you can find at the pop-up, and on the Glam Touch website, is the Accoje Protective No Sebum Sun Gel (SPF50 + PA++++). Accoje is a new and exclusive addition to Glam Touch within the UK. Acooje is a naturalism concept cosmetic brand, the name of which embodies the promise to “give the most cherished things” from the pristine environment of Jeju Island in South Korea. Hence why Accoje use countless plant-based extracts sourced from nature across all of their product lines, using only the best harvest to treat skin with essential nutrients.
At Glam Touch you can find the Accoje Reviving and Hydrating skincare lines in addition to the increasingly favoured skin brightening, UV protecting and wrinkle improving sun gel. I’ll be back with a in-depth review of the hydrating line and sun gel very soon! Until then make sure to stop by the pop-up for yourself! The shop will be open until August 8th.
